Newly Added to my Skincare Routine: DermaDoctor, E.L.F, and Herbivore

Within the past year, my skincare routine has went from what I would consider normal, to what some might consider crazy. It is so hard to find skincare that works for me personally. I have always had acne and just flat out bad skin, so now as an adult I am trying to go back and fix the damage I caused from constantly touching and picking at my face. I purchased all of these products about at least 2 months ago, and I started using them in conjugation with the products that I had been using to make sure that they all work well together. If you are trying to find products that work best for you, it is so important to test them out for a few weeks before you give your final verdict. Your skin takes about that much time to adjust and really start benefiting from what you’re using. These three products: Herbivore’s Blue Tansy Mask, e.l.f’s Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser, and DERMAdoctor’s Ain’t Misbehavin’ Acne cleanser have been perfect additions to my routine.

The first skin care tip that I have, especially if you wear makeup daily, is to double cleanse your face. That is where the e.l.f product comes in. This stuff is fantastic. You just take a glob and rub it all over your face, and you can see all of the makeup just wear off. It is an oily type of cleanser, so I always follow it up it up with something else. Instead of wasting 4 makeup wipes that typically have a ton of alcohol in them, this works so much better for removal. There are tons of products out there from other brands that are meant for the same purpose, but I don’t feel it’s totally necessary to spend 50 dollars on something to remove your makeup. This one is around $10 and works like a dream. Find it here.

I have decided that my new favorite acne cleanser is from Dermadoctor. I picked it up from Ulta a few months ago, and so far is it is working wonders for my skin. It is definitely one of those things that will take some getting used to, however. Since it has AHA and BHA ingredients you will feel some stinging and have some possible redness on your face, but the results are worth it for sure if you are having issues with acne. AHAs and BHAs exfoliate your skin, and remove dead skin calls from the surface. It certainly doesn’t happen overnight, but I would say that using this product has helped my skin in a dramatic way. I picked up the Blue Tansy make from Herbivore at Sephora a few weeks ago and it does exactly what it claims to do. I used the product as directed for the first 4 days, and now I use it a couple times per week. My acne scars

have lightened significantly and my pores, at least to me, feel like they look smaller. It has been a lifesaver, especially since I purchased it on a whim and wasn’t expecting to have found such a great product. It is a little on the pricey side, but I do not mind spending money when it comes to a higher-end mask or really most high-end skincare. Find it here.
