The Basics: I believe this palette to be an Ulta exclusive (you can still purchase this on the Tarte’s Website). I also believe it is limited edition. You get 8 shadows, Lace is in a larger pan which is likely because it highlight color, for $29. This makes the cost of each shadow about $3.60, considering you like all of them, this is an excellent deal for the price. Find it here.
formulated without: parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium lauryl sulfate, gluten, dermatolgist tested
According to the information that is indicated on the back of the box, this palette would be great for those with sensitive skin; However, all of the shadows still contain talc.
The Good: I really enjoyed this palette even though when I looked at it I didn’t think I would. I normally gravitate towards a cooler color selection. BUT. The quality of this palette is amazing. Tarte is sometimes hit-or-miss for me. I love some and barely use some of their products I have bought in the past. I have no complaints about any of these shadows. They all blend together perfectly, and the palette is balanced enough that you can get a bunch of different looks from it. Purr is a perfect transition color for me, and Meow is an excellent browbone highlight. The mirror is good enough, we aren’t talking funhouse mirror, to be able to use on the go. This also compliments the size of this one because it is small enough to travel with.
Honestly there isn’t much bad to say about this. My only complaint might be that the packaging isn’t sturdy enough for travel. Also, if you really hate the trendy super reddish-brown warm looks you will not enjoy this one.
The Verdict: I would absolutely recommend getting this one, and I am not sure why more people aren’t talking about. I think people get so hyed on gimmicky releases and gravitate towards packaging so much that they forget to consider the quality of the product inside. If you like a warm-toned look this is worth checking out.
